How the hell does anyone farm these thing? The only thing in game that I can think is as frustrating is trying to solo Profit Taker. I'm at wits end, not even widely agreed to be frustrating frame farms (like Equinox, Protea, Harrow, etc) is as frustrating as this farm to the unique weapon BP these drop. Unless you hit it dead on, it just doesn't work, and the explosion only seems to hit the invincle parts of an enemy. That is 50x less damage, despite hitting the weak points dead on.Īlso I have no idea why so many posts advised explosive/aoe weapons. How did this go against a like level 60 Thumper? 2k damage per shot. I have a very good Voidrig build that pumps out over 100k damage a shot to a single enemy, melts even 100+ level enemies. I seen multiple posts on multiple websites praising the Voidrig for how fast it melted them, and of course it should have been the first thing I tried. Lastly, and most frustratingly of all, I used my Voidrig Necramech. Then I did my mausolon with Rhino's roar which melts the Exploiter Orb. which sucked in Eidolon fights anyway so I'm not surprised it didn't work. Then I tried using my radiation build Rubico Prime. I even seen videos of people doing this and getting impact procs, so either they changed it or the game just hates me. To my knowledge, it didn't strip any armour at all, there wasn't even a single impact proc despite hitting it in the weak spots with my Redeemer. The REAL frustration began when I started searching for a solution.įirst thing I tried was shattering impact. My Ignis Wraith build that typically melts high level enemies does hardly anything, but I thought it no big deal as I'm used to making a new build to optimize a specific farm. The weak points are relatively tiny and near constantly moving, the thumper is constantly turning to face you when it is not actively 'thumping', resulting in one of the legs being near impossible to damage forcing you to wait till it starts thumping, which only lasts less than five seconds, to get into position and deal some damage. The Thumpers are still one of the most annoying enemies to fight, though.įighting these Thumper Domas has me at wits ends, thus far proving to be one of the most frustrating enemies in the entire game. After redoing my Rubico mod setup and swaping from Redeeming to that other gun blade, the farm has went fron frustratingly unbearable, to somewhat bearable. I mean, yeah, I can finish the bounty nonetheless, but I hate the easter egg hunt aka finding cache.EDIT: thanks for the help, lads. It gave me a warning about abandoning objective. I also tried finishing stage 1 of a bounty, killing TWO narmer doma, and flying back. But after that I make sure I do the first stage if I've accidentally triggered it, just in case. I don't know if that's just a weird coincidence or not. Eg it seemed that failing the bounty broke the thumper. I've also found that twice I'd failed the bounty by getting too close and not completing it, then found the thumper - but both times was unable to damage it at all (and it had no label saying which thumper it was). I've been trying to hunt the thumpers (for Korrudo BP), and I've been trying to avoid the mission areas, but on the occasional time I've got too close as I've been looking for thumpers - when I've done stage 1, then gone on to find the thumper, killed it and extracted (since it didn't drop Korrudo), I've only got whatever the stage 1 bounty gave, not all the thumper drops etc. You seem to lose all your stuff (except anything gained from doing the bounty) if you fail the second stage of a bounty.
